WHAT IS OIL VISCOSITY?

Engine oil viscosity refers to how easily oil is poured at a given temperature. Thin oils have a water-like consistency and pour more easily at low temperatures than heavier, thicker oils that have a more honey-like consistency. Thinner oils are preferable in cold weather and to reduce friction, while denser oils are better for maintaining film and at high oil pressure at high temperatures and high loads.
