Yves Le Stunff, General Manager of TotalEnergies EP Bulgaria took part in the biggest event in Bulgaria dedicated to the Green Transition

The forum Green Transition 2022 focusing on the Green deal and innovation, investments and fair transition was held in Sofia on 10th June, in the presence of the President of the Republic, European Commissioners, Ministers and representatives of the business.

The economic and political situation in recent months has confirmed that the green transition to a low-carbon economy in Europe and Bulgaria is of paramount importance. In the panel on Energy and green transformation, Yves Le Stunff outlined the ambition of TotalEnergies to transform into a broad energy company with net-zero GHG emission target for 2050 and, by altering the energy mix of the company, by 2030 to be among the top 5 worldwide renewable energy producers.

The General Manager said that on a local level TotalEnergies EP Bulgaria is assessing the possibility to drill an exploration well in 2023 on a gas prospect in the Block 1-21 Han Asparuh, as well as the options for developing renewable energy projects. For investing in new projects in the country, TotalEnergies is expecting clear regulatory framework, as well as predictability and stability in the fiscal regime.
