On the occasion of the Earth Day Total E&P Bulgaria joined schools in Varna

The spring edition of our Energy and Environment Awareness Campaign

A few days before the Earth Day In April, our colleagues visited four schools: Secondary School “P.K. Yavorov”, Secondary School “Geo Milev”, Professional High School of Tourism “Prof. Asen Zlatarov” and High School for Foreign Languages “Yoan Ekzarh” in Varna.

They made interactive presentations aiming to focus on the different types of energy sources, their history and uses and had the opportunity to discuss with the audience about the goals of sustainable development. The sessions with the pupils were in Bulgarian, in English and in French. As a result, more than 170 pupils aged between 12 and 16 and their teachers, participated in the campaign. Quiz games and energy guides with additional information about energy and how to save it were offered to all of them.

Copies of the “Sensitivity Mapping and Analysis of  the Bulgarian Black Sea Coastal Zone” (a book summarizing scientific data, maps and  photos of our coast), created with the support of Total, were donated to each school.

We are more than pleased to share the message of Mrs. Stela Petkova, Teacher in English, about our intervention:

“On behalf of Secondary school "Geo Milev" (Varna) and on behalf of my pupils from class 6 D, I would like to sincerely thank you for the interesting and fascinating presentation. We hope that you will visit us again in the future!”

We plan to continue our coastal initiative this autumn to reach even more children.
